Life coaching & business consulting — Vermont and worldwide

Most of my clients found success here after failing elsewhere.

Tom Atkins has coached individuals and advised organizations since 2011. The difference is not a better to-do list — it is dealing first with the thing that actually stops people.

Spirit first

“We believe there is a spiritual element to every extraordinary success. Too often it is the very element that gets ignored.” Tom Atkins, Quarry House

The steps to success are not a secret. They are well known, they are written down, and they work when they are followed persistently. Yet people still stall, and then blame themselves for it.

In 2021 I asked my past clients why they had succeeded here after failing elsewhere. The answer almost always came back to the same place: something in their own spirit — a tender place, or a belief that was not true — stopping them at the hard spot. Most coaching walks past it. I deal with it first, and then we do the grunt work.

How the coaching works

What I do

Three kinds of work, one way of working.

Fewer clients, more attention, and a process shaped around you rather than a mould you are asked to fit.

For individuals

Coaching

One-to-one, weekly or bi-weekly, in person if you are local and by video if you are not. You get accountability, a safe place to be honest, and a Maxwell Leadership process tailored to you.

For organizations

Consulting

Reinvention, leadership training, business development, marketing, simplifying, creativity and communication — without the buzzwords most consultants lead with.

Tom Atkins, founder of Quarry House

From Tom

“While other people are trying to tell you what to do, I help you find your authentic path.”

If you are looking for wisdom instead of what everyone else is thinking, and solutions tailored to you and your organization instead of coming out of a cookie-cutter, AI-slop, lowest-common-denominator mill, I might just be what you are looking for.

I limit my number of clients on purpose, so each client has my fully focused attention. Even when I am not taking new clients I will still talk with you, for free. I don’t want to waste anyone’s time — not yours and not mine.
